Mass emails are great but I feel that maintaining a steady blog will be a much more productive way to keep everyone updated on my life while out of the country.
Very brief run-down of what I've done for the past month and a half:
Have been living and going to language school in Radolfzell am Bodensee and slogging my way through the German grammatical beast. My host family is fantastic, I can't say enough good things about them. I am treated like an adopted son and they have fully integrated me into their lives. They have taken me on bike-tours, hiking trips and to numerous family functions. Through my shared experiences with them and weekend trips with the other participants in this program I have learned a tremendous amount about the unique culture in Baden-Württemburg.
Leaving for Berlin in two weeks and will be living the central district Mitte. Very excited to meet my hosts, a young couple named Kurt and Elke. From what I understand Kurt is a graphic designer who works out of the apartment and Elke is the editor of a professional journal for Farmers. Life has been great in Radolfzell, but I need a change of pace and I have a feeling Berlin will not disappoint.
